At Cerosk, our mission is to help construction businesses find the right opportunities at the right time. We build tools that turn publicly available municipal data — permits, development applications, planning filings — into actionable intelligence for contractors, suppliers, and developers across Canada.
This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect when you use Cerosk, how we use it, and your choices with respect to that data.
1. Data we collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization name.
Org Profile Data
When you use the platform, you put in revenue settings and signal your preferences by saving or dismissing opportunities. We use this to automatically build and refine a selection profile for your organization that determines which opportunities we surface to you.
Usage Data
When you visit or use Cerosk, we receive standard technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages accessed. We also collect information about how you interact with the platform — such as pages visited, features used, and actions taken — to understand how the platform is being used and improve it. We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Communications
If you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
2. How we use your data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the platform
- Build and refine your organization's opportunity matching profile
- Send you platform communications such as access invites and product updates
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Monitor for fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Produce aggregated, anonymized analytics about how the platform is used
We may use aggregated, anonymized preference signals across organizations to improve opportunity matching for all users — for example, to identify patterns across similar organization profiles. We do not share one organization's data directly with another.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.
3. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- Service providers — companies that help us operate the platform, such as cloud hosting and email delivery providers, under data processing agreements
- Legal authorities — when required by applicable law
4. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. You can request deletion of your data at any time — see Section 5.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email support@cerosk.com and we will respond promptly.
6. Children
Cerosk is intended for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
7. Changes to this policy
We will post updates to this page and notify registered users by email for significant changes. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.
